Moving to the Netherlands

Moving to the Netherlands needs careful attention to the route through the building. Whether your destination is Amsterdam, Rotterdam or elsewhere, a complete furniture list and access photographs help us prepare the work.

Check long furniture against the Dutch stair route

Steep or narrow stairs matter for large sofas and cabinets. Tell us where the vehicle can stop, the distance to the door and any courtyard access. If you pack yourself, we clearly agree which preparation remains with you.

Our packing work, up close

Measure wardrobe panels, long sofas and tabletops individually. Photograph tight turns and the doorway at the top of the stairs. A window is not an agreed alternative delivery route; any additional access arrangement needs separate discussion. Note which furniture is already dismantled and which pieces need dismantling before collection, so the proposed work is clear.

These photographs show our furniture packing: cushioning, protective layers and secured wrapping. We discuss the preparation your belongings need from the actual items and the service you request.

Your move in detail

The Netherlands: measure the route to the room.

For Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Utrecht, the specific building matters more than a general city description. A direct entrance and a flat with several stair sections need different preparation.

Consider the wardrobe and staircase together

Doorways, landings, turns and ceiling clearance can affect how a piece is carried. Provide furniture dimensions and construction photographs. Dismantling must suit the particular piece, not merely the available space.

Assign tasks before moving day

Compare the Dutch floor plan with your furniture and identify items remaining behind or entering storage. Confirm who packs, empties cupboards and opens the destination. Share any known loading or lift instructions and check the available space before requesting reassembly.
